CBLO

We offer an orthopedic surgery called CBLO to fix cranial cruciate ligament injuries in dogs. Dr. Kevin Lamczyk and Dr. Jo Lynn Lamczyk have gone through intensive training to offer this new surgery.

CBLO stands for CORA Based Leveling Osteotomy. CORA stands for Center of Rotation of Angulation. The CBLO surgery actually changes the center of rotation of angulation on the affected leg to stabilize the joint. This surgery is very beneficial in our large and giant breed of dogs, as well as young growing dogs that have injured their cranial cruciate ligament as this surgery will not impede their continued growth.

Other benefits of this surgery include protection against continual cranial cruciate failure and helping to prevent later onset of articular cartilage lesions in the joint.
